Description

The Patek Philippe Nautilus was first launched in 1976, it is the epitome of an elegant sports watch. The Nautlius is recognised for its rounded octagonal shaped bezel, porthole construction case and its horizontally embossed dial.

This particular model is the mechanical self-winding, two-tone Steel & Rose Gold with gradient blue dial, which features gold applied hour markers with luminescent coating. This piece comes with the original Patek Phillipe box & papers and 12-months Cagau warranty.

Customisation

This Nautilus watch ref. 5980/1AR-001 in Steel & Rose Gold has been custom diamond-set with over 1800 of the finest VVS round brilliant-cut diamonds. On the full bracelet we have used pavé diamond setting whereby the stones are positioned closer together in a honeycomb pattern (less gaps, more diamonds, minimal edges) and for the bezel we have used oversized traditional-set diamonds.

Custom or afterset diamond watches have been customised outside of the factory manufacturers, in our case, in-house by our expert diamond setters.

Both factory and custom-set watches have real diamonds & precious gemstones of similar size, quality, and quantity. We hand-select all of our diamonds specifically for our customised watches, and for certain designs, we also incorporate precious coloured stones such as Rubies, Sapphires & Emeralds.

All of our timepieces offer something unique, unexpected and perfectly balanced, which is exactly what our worldwide client base is looking for. Our immense popularity is derived from our dedication to creating the most exquisite timepieces when it comes to bespoke luxury.

Diamond Quality

As standard, we set all of our custom watches with G colour (clear white) VS/SI 1 in clarity diamonds; this gives the perfect balance between quality and affordability. We also sell certain higher-value timepieces with VVS diamonds.

If you are diamond-setting your existing timepiece and would like to use different colour and clarity stones – it is possible.

Handcrafted

It is the extraordinary skill set of our diamond-setters that ensures each stone is placed perfectly, and securely lodged into the finely sculpted precious metal. The precise alignment, orientation, stone regularity as well as intricate finishing of the metalwork creates a sparkling masterpiece. Under no circumstance would we ever use glue or any similar substance to set stones – every seat is carved carefully into the metal by hand.

All of our diamond-setting is completed in-house at our Dubai workshop. We source all of our diamonds from leading suppliers throughout Russia, Australia, Canada and India.

Diamond Certifcate?

Certificates are issued on single stone diamonds above 0.15 carats – therefore smaller stones do not come with a certificate. A custom-set diamond watch typically has over 1,000 smaller diamonds giving an impressive total carat weight for the whole piece.

When sourcing our diamonds, we buy in large 100-carat loose diamond parcels. Each parcel is certified but not each individual diamond.
