Description

The Rolex Day-Date was first launched in 1956 and was the first waterproof and self-winding chronometer wristwatch to offer a modern calendar with an instantaneous day display, spelt out in full in a window on the dial in addition to the date. The Day-Date is recognised as “The Watch of Prestige” and is the ultimate status watch, it has been the watch worn by heads of industries, presidents, visionaries and leaders. Never a watch had such a representation amongst the elites.

This particular President model is the 40mm iconic “60th Anniversary” edition with a distinctive Olive Green dial. This model is 18ct Everose Gold with fluted bezel and world-famous President bracelet

Customisation

This Day-Date watch ref. 228235 has been custom diamond-set with G/H colour VSI-SI1 round brilliant-cut diamonds in the case, bracelet, shoulders & clasp. The piece also features a custom-made 18ct Rose Gold diamond-set bezel.

Custom or afterset diamond watches have been customised outside of the factory manufacturers, in our case, in-house by our expert diamond setters.

Both factory and custom-set watches have real diamonds & precious gemstones of similar size, quality, and quantity. We hand-select all of our diamonds specifically for our customised watches, and for certain designs, we also incorporate precious coloured stones such as Rubies, Sapphires & Emeralds.

All of our timepieces offer something unique, unexpected and perfectly balanced, which is exactly what our worldwide client base is looking for. Our immense popularity is derived from our dedication to creating the most exquisite timepieces when it comes to bespoke luxury.

Diamond Quality

As standard, we set all of our custom watches with G colour (clear white) VS/SI 1 in clarity diamonds; this gives the perfect balance between quality and affordability. We also sell certain higher-value timepieces with VVS diamonds.

If you are diamond-setting your existing timepiece and would like to use different colour and clarity stones – it is possible.

Handcrafted

It is the extraordinary skill set of our diamond-setters that ensures each stone is placed perfectly, and securely lodged into the finely sculpted precious metal. The precise alignment, orientation, stone regularity as well as intricate finishing of the metalwork creates a sparkling masterpiece. Under no circumstance would we ever use glue or any similar substance to set stones – every seat is carved carefully into the metal by hand.

All of our diamond-setting is completed in-house at our Dubai workshop. We source all of our diamonds from leading suppliers throughout Russia, Australia, Canada and India.

Diamond Certifcate?

Certificates are issued on single stone diamonds above 0.15 carats – therefore smaller stones do not come with a certificate. A custom-set diamond watch typically has over 1,000 smaller diamonds giving an impressive total carat weight for the whole piece.

When sourcing our diamonds, we buy in large 100-carat loose diamond parcels. Each parcel is certified but not each individual diamond.
