Elevate your Timepiece
At Cagau, we redefine luxury with an unparalleled range of customization options tailored to your unique taste and budget. Whether you're enhancing your watch with a dazzling new bezel or embarking on a fully bespoke design project, we bring your vision to life with precision and artistry.
Our diamonds are nothing short of exceptional—hand-selected, G/H color (clear white), and VS/SI clarity as our standard. For those seeking ultimate perfection, we also offer upgrades to even higher grades upon request. Rest assured, we never compromise on quality—only the finest diamonds grace our creations.
Bezels
The bezel is the ring surrounding a watch’s crystal glass, securing it in place and elevating its overall aesthetic. Our bezels are meticulously crafted, typically from gold, but can also be made from platinum, steel, or a mix of premium metals. We set them with exquisite diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and other precious gemstones, offering a variety of diamond-setting techniques and stone cuts, including brilliant, princess, pavé, and baguette.
How Are They Assembled?
In most cases, our expert watchmakers carefully remove the original bezel and seamlessly fit your new custom bezel onto the timepiece. Your original bezel is returned to you and can be re-fitted at any time, ensuring flexibility for the future.
Important Note:
For certain models where a new bezel cannot be fitted, we customize the original bezel by setting the diamonds or gemstones directly into it. Once this process is complete, it cannot be reversed, as the customization becomes a permanent feature of your watch.
Traditional Setting
We love the timeless beauty of traditional diamond setting, where round brilliant-cut diamonds are meticulously arranged in sleek, straight lines to enhance your timepiece with understated elegance or bold brilliance—depending on your style.
Whether you prefer a subtle touch, such as diamonds delicately set on the watch shoulders, or a striking transformation with diamonds adorning the entire case, bracelet, and buckle, we can bring your vision to life. Each customization is a reflection of your taste and individuality, ensuring your watch becomes a true expression of luxury and craftsmanship.
Our traditional diamond setting combines precision artistry and the finest materials, creating a seamless, sophisticated finish that elevates your timepiece to a whole new level. Whatever look you’re after—classic, bold, or something in between—we’re here to make it happen.
Transform your watch into a masterpiece that turns heads. With Cagau, the possibilities are endless.
Pavé Setting
Our Pavé diamond setting, also known as honeycomb setting, takes luxury to the next level with its intricate and seamless design. This technique positions the diamonds closely together in a honeycomb-like pattern, minimizing gaps and maximizing the brilliance and sparkle of each stone.
The result is a mesmerizing, continuous surface of diamonds that creates an undeniable statement of elegance. Whether you choose to apply this exquisite setting to the dial, case, bracelet, or buckle, it offers a bold and luxurious look that captures attention from every angle.
Pavé setting is perfect for those who seek unparalleled refinement and artistry in their custom watch design. Every stone is hand-set by our master craftsmen, ensuring precision and a flawless finish that truly stands out.
Elevate your timepiece with the brilliance of Pavé diamond setting—because when it comes to luxury, every detail matters.
Factory Vs Custom?
Can you tell the difference between a factory diamond-set watch and a custom diamond-set watch?
To the naked eye or to untrained professionals, it’s hard to distinguish between a factory-set watch and a high-quality custom diamond-set watch. However, under a 10x loupe, differences become apparent. For example, Rolex uses only IF (Internally Flawless) clarity and D to G color diamonds, setting a high standard.
That said, the price difference is significant, allowing you to achieve incredible value with a custom piece—offering stunning craftsmanship and personalization at a fraction of the cost of a factory-set equivalent.
FAQs
How much will it cost to customize my watch?
The cost to customize your watch varies depending on the type and extent of the customization. Prices can range from $2,000 USD for a bezel change to over $12,500 USD for a full diamond setting on the case, bracelet, and buckle.
Factors such as the type of gemstones, diamond quality, setting technique, and the complexity of the design all influence the final price. For a more accurate quote tailored to your vision, feel free to contact us—we’d be happy to discuss your customization options!
How long does it take?
We typically allow up to 14 working days for customization work. However, for more intricate projects, please allow 2-3 weeks.
For highly complex projects or fully custom builds, the process may take up to 3 months.
I am overseas, can I still customize my watch?
Yes! You can ship your watch to us via tracked courier if you’re overseas. We’ll complete the customization, send photos and videos for approval, and then return the watch fully insured via FedEx. Payment for the setting work is only required once the customization is complete.
Please note, approx. 10% import taxes and duties will be added to your invoice based on the declared shipment value. When the watch is returned, you will be responsible for any import duties in your country (e.g., 5% in the US, based on the diamond-setting cost). No VAT is charged for overseas returns
Will my watch still be water resistant?
Please note that we cannot guarantee the original water resistance of customized watches. Alterations to the metalwork, such as adding or removing parts, may compromise the watch's water resistance. For this reason, we strongly advise against swimming, diving, or submerging a custom-set watch, as there is a risk of water resistance failure, however unlikely.
Will I get a diamond certificate?
Yes, as standard, all diamond details are included on the official invoice you receive from us.
For those seeking third-party certification, we are partnered with IDT (International Diamond Testing) to provide an official diamond certificate for an additional fee. This certification includes a detailed breakdown of the diamond weight, cut, color, clarity, and overall grading, ensuring independent verification of the quality of the stones.
With the IDT certification, you also receive an official card featuring a photo of your customized watch, along with all the diamond details documented—offering both authenticity and added value to your timepiece.
Heavy Hitters
Full Custom
This option involves creating a fully custom watch while preserving the original movement—the heart of the timepiece that powers its functionality. As one of the most expensive components, the movement remains intact, while the case, bracelet, bezel, and buckle are entirely custom-built around it. These parts are then gem-set with exceptionally high-quality VS diamonds or other precious gemstones for a stunning finish.
We create some crazily cool custom watches using this method, not always with diamonds, but sometimes featuring emeralds, rubies, sapphires, or other gemstones, depending on the color and style you desire. Each design is unique and tailored to make a bold statement of luxury and individuality.
To achieve such intricate craftsmanship, we use advanced machinery to invisibly set baguette-cut stones into a solid 18k gold casing. This complex process requires exceptional skill and can take up to 3 months to complete.
As these watches are custom-built, they are not sold with the original manufacturer's papers. Instead, we supply the original box along with a 2-year Cagau warranty, mirroring the coverage of the manufacturer.
Purchasing a factory-set equivalent would cost 3-4 times more, making this option an incredible way to achieve the same luxurious look, feel, and quality at a more affordable price.
