How do I make a purchase?

You can place your order directly through our website. If the item is in stock, it will be dispatched the next working day. For made-to-order pieces, the dispatch will occur after the customization period, as outlined on the product page.

If you’re looking for a specific model or design that you don’t see listed on our website, feel free to contact us directly. We’ll be happy to provide a quote and discuss creating a custom piece tailored to your requirements.

How do I know if my order is confirmed?

Once your order is placed, you will receive an automatic email confirmation to verify that we’ve received your order. Following this, a member of our team will contact you directly to guide you through completing the KYC (Know Your Customer) form, which is required to finalize your order.

What is the KYC Form?

The KYC (Know Your Customer) form is a mandatory requirement under UAE government regulations as part of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws. These laws require all dealers in precious stones and metals to obtain a completed KYC form from customers to finalize any sale.

This process is a legal obligation and cannot be bypassed. If the KYC form is not completed, we will regrettably need to cancel and refund the order to remain compliant with government regulations.

The KYC form is a simple digital form, and a link to complete it will be provided in your order confirmation email. Completing the form is quick and easy, and our team is available to assist you with any questions or concerns throughout the process.

How long does shipping take?

At Cagau, we offer a premium shipping experience to ensure your order reaches you securely and promptly.

In-Store Collection

  • You can collect your order from our Dubai showroom, open every day except Sunday.

Domestic (UAE) Deliveries

  • We provide next-day hand delivery anywhere in the UAE for all in-stock items.
  • If the item is made to order, the estimated customization time will be clearly stated on the specific product page.

International Deliveries

  • All international shipments are fully insured against loss, theft, and damage for your peace of mind.
  • We ship to over 50 countries worldwide using FedEx International, with a typical delivery time of 3-4 working days.
  • Any import duties, taxes, or customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

High-Value Shipments

  • For watches valued over $50,000 USD, we use a specialist white glove service via Brinks or Ferrari Logistics for maximum security.
  • Due to the nature of such shipments not being insurable by standard courier services and the risks of transporting high-value items without full protection, we charge up to $2,000 USD for this specialized delivery service.
  • This ensures your purchase is handled with the utmost care and security.

Is my shipment insured?

All shipments are fully insured against loss, theft, and damage for your peace of mind.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes, you can track your shipment. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with the tracking details. This will allow you to monitor the progress of your shipment and know when to expect delivery.

Can I return my order?

At Cagau, we are committed to exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. All watches undergo thorough inspection and quality control before leaving our premises to ensure they meet our high standards.

We offer a 7-day return policy from the date you receive your watch. Refunds will only be granted if the watch is not as described or has a manufacturing defect/fault.

To initiate a return, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your item by emailing sales@cagau.com with full details of your order and the reason for the return.

Return Conditions:

  • All watches are shipped with a security seal. If this seal has been tampered with or removed, the watch will no longer qualify for a refund.
  • The cost of returning the watch, including shipping and insurance, is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Any import duties or fees incurred during the return will be deducted from the refund amount.

Made-to-Order Watches:

  • If the watch was made to order, a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

Refund Processing:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the returned item has been inspected and confirmed to meet our return criteria.

What currencies do you accept?

For your convenience, our website displays prices in your local currency based on your IP address. This helps provide a seamless shopping experience by showing approximate costs in the currency you’re familiar with.

However, at checkout, all prices will be shown and charged in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), which is our local currency in Dubai. Your bank or payment provider will handle the conversion automatically if you're using a different currency.

This ensures transparency and consistency in our pricing.

Are you registered with Planet Tax Free?

Yes, if you purchase from our showroom in Dubai and are visiting on a tourist visa, you are eligible to claim back the VAT on your purchase through the Planet Tax Free system.

We will provide you with the necessary documentation at the time of purchase, which you can present at the airport to process your VAT refund.

Are customized watches authentic?

At Cagau, we exclusively customize 100% authentic timepieces sourced from prestigious brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, and more. Our expert craftsmen use their exceptional skills to enhance these iconic watches, ensuring every modification is meticulously executed while preserving the integrity, precision, and authenticity of the original piece.

Are customized watches water resistant?

Please note that we cannot guarantee the original water resistance of customized watches. Alterations to the metalwork, such as adding or removing parts, may compromise the watch's water resistance. For this reason, we strongly advise against swimming, diving, or submerging a custom-set watch, as there is a risk of water resistance failure, however unlikely.

Will I receive a diamond certificate?

Yes, as standard, all diamond details are included on the official invoice you receive from us.

For those seeking third-party certification, we are partnered with IDT (International Diamond Testing) to provide an official diamond certificate for an additional fee. This certification includes a detailed breakdown of the diamond weight, cut, color, clarity, and overall grading, ensuring independent verification of the quality of the stones.

With the IDT certification, you also receive an official card featuring a photo of your customized watch, along with all the diamond details documented—offering both authenticity and added value to your timepiece.

Can you tell the difference between Custom and Factory Diamond-Set Watches?

To the naked eye or to untrained professionals, it’s hard to distinguish between a factory-set watch and a high-quality custom diamond-set watch. However, under a 10x loupe, differences become apparent. For example, Rolex uses only IF (Internally Flawless) clarity and D to G color diamonds, setting a high standard.

That said, the price difference is significant, allowing you to achieve incredible value with a custom piece—offering stunning craftsmanship and personalization at a fraction of the cost of a factory-set equivalent.

Do you provide warranty?

All custom watches and parts purchased from Cagau, including bezels and dials, come with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Modifying a watch voids the original manufacturer’s warranty. However, Cagau’s 2-year warranty covers:

  • Mechanical components (movement and functions)
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Custom diamond setting work

Exclusions:
The warranty does not cover:

  • Water damage (under any circumstances)
  • Misuse of the watch
  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, crystals, glass, straps)
  • General wear and tear

⚠️ Water resistance cannot be guaranteed after modifications due to the nature of customization.

Important:

  • All warranty claims must be handled directly through Cagau.
  • Third-party repairs will void the warranty.
  • If water damage occurs, Cagau may offer repairs at your expense if possible.

What do you mean by 'Made to Order'

If one of our customized watches is out of stock, it can still be purchased as a ‘made-to-order’ item. This means we will source a brand-new watch, complete the customization process, and have it ready for you within the timeframe specified on the product page.
